- About Santony Assamoi
Santony (Tony) is an expert in sustainable finance and ESG integration. He brings over ten years of experience at the intersection of corporate finance, private equity, and financial index management. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation as well as the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
He worked as a Senior Sustainability Analyst at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Germany, where he conducted sustainability due diligences for private equity funds, co-developed ESG strategies and frameworks for asset management firms, and supported companies in achieving CSRD / ESRS compliance (including double materiality assessments and the identification of impacts, risks, and opportunities). He notably contributed to the 2024 BCG EDCI report, which assesses ESG reporting practices and sustainability risk identification among private equity firms globally.
He previously worked as an ESG Financial Index Manager at Solactive AG, advising major institutional investors (including JP Morgan, Invesco, and DWS) on their ESG investment strategies—an achievement recognized with the “Climate Index Provider of the Year 2022” award. Earlier in his career, he worked at Ernst & Young in Germany (Transaction Advisory Services), supporting M&A transactions totaling USD 6 billion, and in Corporate & Investment Banking at Attijariwafa Bank in Côte d’Ivoire.
Tony holds an MBA from INSEAD, specializing in Sustainable Finance (Class of 2025), where he was an INDEVOR Scholar and Vice President of Due Diligence for the school’s Impact Investment Fund. He also holds a Master of Science in International Finance from Nuertingen-Geislingen University (Germany) and a Bachelor of Science in Banking & Finance from the University of Winneba (Ghana).
